In 2013, I made a life-changing decision — I left the beautiful beaches of southern Portugal and moved to London. It was summer, but instead of soaking up the sun, I chose to embrace something new. Along with the sunshine, I also left behind family, friends, good food, and the calmness of home.
This shift led me into the fast-paced world of hospitality, where I worked night shifts, took on multiple roles at once, and adapted to a chaotic yet exciting environment. But alongside this journey, photography also found its way into my life.
Of course, this wasn’t my first time behind a camera. In the early 2000s, I was already known as the “photographer” among friends — capturing trips, dinners, and school events, then creating websites to share those memories. Back then, everything was already digital… the only difference was that the internet was much slower.
In 2014, I bought my first DSLR — a camera that, even today, outperforms many modern smartphones. That’s when my photography took a more serious turn. I started capturing cocktails, hotel interiors, and travel moments, gradually refining my skills. What began as simple snapshots of drinks quickly evolved into visually compelling, professional-style images.
One of the aspects I enjoy most is photo editing. While many see it as just applying filters, for me, it's about enhancing details, perfecting tones, and bringing a vision to life.
Over the years, I’ve explored different photography styles — portraits, street photography, food, special events, and even weddings. Each experience has helped me grow, not only in technique but also in creativity and connection with the people I photograph.
What started as a “joke” became something serious. Now, it’s a passion.
Although my academic background and professional career have been in management and hospitality, what truly drives me is the ability to connect people — through shared moments, meaningful stories, and lasting memories.
Photography, for me, is more than capturing a single moment. It’s about the stories behind those moments — the emotions, the connections, the shared experiences. Whether it’s working with individuals or small businesses, I love the idea that my photos become part of someone’s journey. A single image can spark a conversation, bring back a cherished memory, or even inspire something new.
That’s why I see photography as a bridge — a way to bring people together, to highlight perspectives that might otherwise go unnoticed, and to create something that lasts beyond a fleeting moment. Whether it’s a special occasion, a brand’s story, or the quiet beauty of everyday life, my goal is to craft images that feel genuine, personal, and full of life.
